Shared Drafts Project is home to the Unpublishables, a collection of journals published throughout the year that focuses on work that normally would be overlooked by larger society.
Grounded in the ethos of the project, anyone and everyone can participate in submitting to our journals regardless of their writing background. We occasionally hold events to strengthen community, and we also champion the process over the final product.
About the Founder
Jasmine Singh launched the Shared Drafts Project after thinking about all of the unknown writers of the world throughout the entire history of mankind and what happened to their work. Tired of waiting for permission for her work to exist and experiencing a recent layoff, she founded this space for creatives to share their work without the parameters of perfection.
She’s worked for and volunteered for an obscene amount of organizations ranging from cultural institutions to nonprofits, currently serving as a Development Associate for the Wright-Ingraham Institute. She is also actively developing her creative identity under Jasmine Singh Studio. She finds joy in storytelling, filling in gaps, and building bridges that help people bring their fullest and authentic selves to the forefront.
Outside of solo-managing this project, you can find her walking her miniature poodle Mochi, growing native plants in her garden, or figuring out new techniques to calm her nervous system.
